Our family is devastated to announce that Kelita M. Leroy Reidy passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Kelita was an amazing daughter to Lucienne Etienne, mother to Elisha and Ryan, grandmother to Joshua and Ryan “RJ”, sister to Anthony, Patrick and Angele, aunt, and a friend. Kelita was loved by all, always put family first and deeply rooted in her faith with the Lord. She was a beautiful gem, a bright light of positivity who believed faith can move mountains. Those who knew Kelita, you already know how much she touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
We will be celebrating Kelita’s Life on January 14, 2021 at Calvary Chapel. At 10am will be the viewing followed by the service at 11am. She will be laid to rest at Fairway Memorial Gardens in Lighthouse Point.

On Christmas morning, Kelita was feeling weak and was admitted to the hospital. Doctors discovered a heart condition that was unknown to Kelita. While waiting for a common cardiovascular procedure, her condition suddenly worsens but continued to fight. On Sunday morning, she was called home to be with the Lord.
Our family is completely devastated, shocked and at a loss for words over this sudden passing of Kelita. Our family is touch by the phone calls, texts, and messages from people sharing their fondness memories and stories of Kelita, their prayers and condolences, and their willingness to help. This unexpected lost has occurred during a time where our family is not financially prepared. As you all are aware Kelita was her mother’s full-time caretaker (Lucienne Etienne, 98) and a substitute teacher which she has been unable to work due to school closures because of the pandemic. Our family would like to accept donations in lieu of flowers.
