Funds for Forest

I am raising money for my wonderful friends Dan and Courtney Hedges' service dog Forest. Courtney and Dan are both teachers with Indianapolis Public Schools. Courtney currently works in the Title One/Nonpublic Division and spends her days at St. Phillip Neri.

Forest is a service dog from ICAN that goes to school with Courtney to work with the students. His primary goal is to listen to students read, help them calm down when anxious, and be a friend to everyone.

Forest is only 5 years old and has recently been diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery last week to remove the tumor from his leg and he is currently recuperating at home. Once his stitches are out and he feels better, he will return to his job helping children! He will need chemotherapy and radiation to ensure the tumor doesn't come back. His vets refer to him as "Perfection" as he is the sweetest dog ever.

Courtney and Dan are currently paying for his surgery and future treatments out of their own pocket. Forest is a dog they share with everyone and I hope everyone will consider a donation to help him get well so he can continue his work with children.
