My name is Veljko, and I am fundraising money for Ognjen Kapata, a 15 year old boy from Serbia who was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia (C91.0). He is my godmother's son. I started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of his parents, and I want to help them raise money for the operation in Italy (Bologna) as soon as possible because every day counts in these moments.

Ognjen was living a happy, everyday life, playing basketball and preparing to enter first grade at Sports Gymnasium… until August 17, 2022, when Ognjen felt a scratch in his throat. After blood tests, his dreams and plans were interrupted by a terrible diagnosis: very high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (C91.0).

Ognjen is undergoing chemotherapy treatments at the moment. To fully recover, he must undergo a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. Ognjen’s parents are facing every parent’s worst nightmare. They are not able to cover treatment costs, so they are desperately seeking financial support from all people of goodwill. I am aware that this is a hefty task, and I am greatly appreciative of any and all support we can receive at this time to save Ognjen’s life. He has been a true blessing to his family and they are intent on keeping him in their lives forever.

He needs funds for a bone marrow transplant, treatment, drugs, supplements, rehabilitation, check-ups, and travel and accommodation expenses during treatment.
