My name is Emily, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my little brother, Maximo. He’s 13 years old and recently had a really scary accident just a couple blocks from our house. While riding his scooter back home from school, Max hit a rock, flew off, and hit his head hard. He passed out in the middle of the street.

We were lucky someone saw him and called 911. My brother was rushed to the hospital and from there was flown to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. There, he received treatment for head trauma and other injuries. Thankfully, he's stable now.

Unfortunately, we don’t have health insurance, and the medical bills are quickly piling up. The cost of the airplane, ambulances, firefighters, hospital stay, scans, and individual bills from the ~15 doctors that saw him are more than my family can handle alone. My parents are doing everything they can, but I want to help too. That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser.
