Medical Expenses

Reluctantly, we have some terribly unfortunate news to share. At this time, I am reaching out to everyone for love, support, and the power of prayer.

Early Friday morning, Morgan was attacked by 3 unknown males while out in downtown Reno. He was waiting outside, by himself, while I was on my way to come pick him up. In the meantime he noticed 3 men acting sketchy. He then attempted to get away from them by simply walking in the opposite direction. That is when the three men started to come towards him faster and then began to run towards him. Morgan attempted to run away, but unfortunately tripped. They caught up to him and began kicking him, predominantly in his face. We don’t know what made them stop, or why they did, but are just so happy that they did and that he is alive. I was only a few minutes away and was able to pick him up into safety. However, once I arrived there was no one else in sight. The men had fled the scene.

Upon taking Morgan to the ER, it was determined that he sustained multiple facial fractures. His bilateral maxillary bones, maxillary sinuses, nasal septum, and pterygoid processes are all fractured. There is free floating air within the broken sinuses and his entire mid face is concaved in where the fractures are. Due to the extent of these injuries he must have extensive surgery to repair the fractures. His surgery is set for today.

Our main priority right now is healthy healing and a speedy recovery. At this time we just ask for any kind words of healing, prayers, and well wishes. I will be sure keep everyone updated after surgery.

With these unfortunate circumstances, the high medical costs to repair his injuries, the long term effects this will have on obtaining his medical degree, and especially with our expected baby on the way in August, we just wanted to reach out for any help possible. As well as due to not knowing or catching whoever these men are, there is no one to pursue for the charges or costs. Absolutely anything helps ❤️
