It is with extreme sadness that we share the passing of Alejandro Garcia Mariscal who recently passed away due to heart failure. Alex was a beloved father, grandfather (“Pa”), brother, and friend. Alex was a light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Alex had a very rare gift; he made every single person feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Alex was the kind of man who could turn anyone’s bad day into a better one with just a smile or a simple conversation. To many, he was not just a friend he was the friend. The one who listened, who laughed with you, who showed up, and who made you feel like family. His kindness was effortless, and his heart was enormous. Despite the heavy burden of dialysis and the exhaustion that came with it, Alex never let it dim his bright spirit. He continued to greet everyone with warmth, humor, and unwavering positivity. Alex committed himself to Fleetwood Bakery for over 20 years, traveling over an hour every single day because he loved his work, the people around him, and the community he helped build there. Alex touched countless lives simply by being who he was. Alex was selfless, gentle, hardworking, and full of love. Knowing he is now at peace brings some comfort, but his absence leaves a deep pit of sorrow for his family who adored him and for all who were lucky enough to call him a friend. During this painful time, we are asking for any type of support. All donations will go directly to Alex’s family to help with living expenses as they navigate life without the man who meant so much to them. Any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated more than words can express.
