We are out of options. Our stepmother had what we thought were fibroids and, upon testing, found to be leiomyosarcoma which is a rare genetic cancer. She had a full hysterectomy and chemo after surgery. One year later, it's back. Second round. This chemo is called the red devil and is supposed to kill aggressive cancer. Not only did it not work, but the tumors doubled in size. She then went to OSHU for a second opinion. The doctor there said they wouldn't do surgery and told Katie she had 1-2 years to live. We are desperately seeking any help to save her life. If anybody knows any doctors or places that can help, please let us know. We are looking at 2 options. The Seattle cancer care alliance, or the C.H.I.S.P.A hospital which is outside the u.s. The minimum cost for treatment is 40,000-100,000. Anything will help.
