Hi my name is Chris and I am fundraising for my son Oscar.

On the 9th of January 2026 a bushfire known as the 'Longwood fire' incinerated our 250 acre property in Gobur Victoria. We lost sheds and key infrastructure was severely damaged. Miraculously our house survived.

My son Oscar is a 22 year old Plumber currently residing in Perth, completing a 12 month contract in a different industry before resuming his plumbing trade again.

Unfortunately, Oscars tools of his trade were stored in a shed on our property until his return.

The shed and its' contents didn't survive the fire. Our property is somewhat underinsured and didn't cover the contents of the shed. This was a devastating blow for Oscar, being a young man not long out of his apprenticeship. It took him five years to save and collect all the tools needed to continue his trade to the approximate value of $12,000.

I am hoping this fundraiser will help Oscar recover and be able to repurchase the essential tools to resume his trade.
