Recently, I found out I was getting laid off. With the way things are going, my fiance and I decided to address some chronic medical issues I've been dealing with while I had insurance. I had two procedures that needed to be done and after the first one was completed, I was told I was denied FMLA. After three weeks of working with HR, it has become clear that I do not have short-term disability coverage. With roughly two months of pay that I don't have, we're starting to struggle with our monthly bills, let alone the cost of the procedures themselves. Anything at this point can help. My fiance cannot support the both of us currently and we just need a little cushion until I find another job.
