Leonal Torres and his 15 year old son Elton both drowned on June 8, 2014, at Lake Lanier. Elton had gone into the water after a ball. When he started to struggle, his father Leonal went in after him. Neither resurfaced. As a recent cancer survivor, Leonal had no life insurance and no savings. He is survived by his wife Carmen and a younger young son Ronald. The money will be used to pay funeral costs and other expenses.
