On June 18 2017, Bryce Evans was a part of a group of climbers who were climbing in Devils Head, on the Chicken Head Ranch Wall. After finishing a route, he was setting up an anchor and a miscommunication happened between him and his belayer, leading to him falling over 50 feet onto boulder, then landing on another ledge 20 feet lower. He has sustained multiple injuries to his head including having brain trauma, along with minor cuts and bruises on his body.
Bryce was air lifted to the Swedish hospital, after being stabilized in the parking lot. Bryce is already making great strides in the recovery process. He has been taken off sedition, and is now breathing on his own. He is also having full conversations and because of his age and how fit he is, he is a very likely candidate to have a full recovery.
Bryce is going to need neuro rehabilitation as well as support for his family to help him recover as soon as possible. Any donations made to help Bryce make his recovery will be greatly appreciated.
