Hi, my name is Kendall,and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this.

My 3-year-old cat, Nova, was rushed to the vet after suddenly becoming extremely weak, unable to walk steadily, and refusing to eat. Bloodwork revealed something devastating — her white blood cell count is almost zero, meaning her immune system is essentially shut down.

She tested negative for panleukopenia (parvo), but her condition is still critical and requires further testing, hospitalization, IV fluids, antibiotics, and close monitoring to determine the cause and give her a fighting chance. Possible causes include bone marrow suppression, infection, or an immune-related reaction — all of which require urgent medical care.

So far, I have already spent over $550 just to get initial diagnostics and medications, and the next steps involve hospitalization and treatment that quickly adds up to several thousand dollars. I am doing everything I can, but I can’t manage this alone.

Nova is only 3 years old. She’s gentle, loving, and deeply bonded to our family. This came on suddenly, and I am trying to give her every chance possible before being forced to make heartbreaking decisions based solely on finances.
