Fighting for Daniel

Daniel Schmidt is a 25 year old young man. He is happily married to his wife Tiffany for the past 2 years, and a proud step father to Bentley(10). They now live in Cincinnati Ohio. He was in the Marines for 4 years and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. When he left the Marines he returned to work at AMS Construction as a union labor. He has always worked hard to provide for his family. About nine months ago he started becoming ill. He was always tired, had vision issues and memory problems. He had saw his family doctor and a Thyroid doctor for his symptoms, they had diagnosed him with a under active thyroid. He was taking his medicine but he was not getting any better. Everyone around Daniel was able to see that the medicine was not working for him and he was getting worse.  So Tiffany took him back to the doctor and they told her that it was just his thyroid and left it at that. The Friday after Thanksgiving she took him to Christ Hospital ER. There they had ran several tests on him including a CAT Scan. This showed fluid and swelling on his brain so they admitted him. On Saturday they did a MRI and this showed 2 masses on the brain.  He underwent brain surgery to place a shunt to drain the fluid on his brain. They also took a biopsy of the mass. The biopsy showed that Daniel has Germinoma Cancer of the brain. This is a rare form of cancer in young adults. He is now waiting to start his treatment plan which will consist of radiation and chemo for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Daniel is unable to provide for him and his family. Tiffany is doing all she can to stay working full time to help make up the bills. They will be facing a ton of medical bills not including their day to day expenses.
