Need help with medical expenses

Recently Page was taken to the ER for severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. While in the ER they ran diagnostic tests and discovered a blockage in his lower intestines potentially caused by inflammation. He was admitted into the hospital to undergo treatment and further testing. When this happens there are two treatments possible, the first is to put a tube into the stomach and suction everything out to allow inflammation of the GI tract the ability to reduce and go down without added acid from the stomach which in most cases will allow the body to pass the obstruction without assistance. If this doesn't work then the patient would require surgery.

Thankfully the first treatment worked for Page and the inflammation was able to go down however this isn't the end of his need for medical care. The hospital informed him he would need to find a primary doctor as well as a GI doctor for further testing (such as an endoscopy) to pinpoint exactly what is going on.  Essentially while they were able to treat the symptoms but not the actual underlying issue.

The doctors informed us the inflammation had been caused by scar tissue in his small intestines. Page got this scar tissue when he was a teenager. At 14 he had been admitted to the ER for extreme abdominal pain and when his body started shutting down they preformed emergency surgery to see what was going on. What they discovered was about three feet of his small intestines had knotted up and died, resulting in the need to remove this section. This is known as Diverticulitis and is very rare for his age, as it is typically something only seen in old people or babies. The doctors explained that issues with scar tissue in the abdominal area is normal however usually doesn't cause such extreme issues and hence he should follow up with appropriate doctors.

Page and I are both college students living on a limited income. When Page first started having health issues a couple years ago he left a steady employer and went to doing Doordash for supplemental income in the meantime. When his health issues increased in the past year it got to a point he wasn't able to work at all. I do work a full time job however due to Covid19 I have been in and out of work most of the year due to the changing environment and demands of my job. We were just getting back on our feet financially when he was admitted to the hospital and are now facing not only his hospital bills but future medical expenses from needed testing.

We are asking for any assistance to help us pay for these medical expenses and are grateful and deeply appreciative for any and all help, thank you.
