Help me save my best friend Meatball!

(Please see the update below and watch the video, things have changed!!)

Hey friends,

I just found out that my best friend Meatball has a cancerous tumor on his leg and 3 others elsewhere that could potentially become cancerous. The doctors won't know the grade of the cancer until after the surgery and it needs to be done ASAP, so it doesn't spread. I'm being as optimistic and positive as I can, but the range of possible outcomes is absolutely terrifying.

Anyone who knows me knows that Meatball is my entire world, he is my son, and he saved my life! That is no joke... you can find the full story on his website: www.meatballsavedmylife.com

Although he's only three years old, Meatball is an old soul and loving little guy who brings JOY to everyone he meets! This special little gentleman loves hanging with all of his pals in the neighborhood - playing pool and shuffleboard, having his photo taken, and wearing all the hats and costumes I've made for him!

Meatball's surgery is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, May 27th and must be paid in full at that time. My hope is that this operation will take care of everything and this will be the end of any treatment, but there is no way to be sure at the moment. I know this is a very hard time for a lot of people financially (myself included), which is why this is incredibly difficult for me to ask others for help.

Thank you all so much for your contribution, Meatball love, and good vibes sent in this direction. Even if you're not able to contribute, it would mean a great deal if you would follow Meatball on Instagram @meatballsavedmylife and share the word about this extra special guy.

Meatball and I featured in a leading New York newspaper :

"One fateful night, 23 degrees out at one o'clock in the morning, I was at the lowest point I had ever been in my entire life. Then I saw this puppy, digging in a trash can. I said to myself, 'You poor little meatball!' And he looked up at me, and ran towards me, paws on my shoulder, nibbling on my ears, licking my face; then he followed me home. I found out weeks later he was from a junkyard and had been severely neglected. I have always been a huge dog lover but was waiting for the right time to get one. He just picked me, and was like, 'I am yours and we are doing this!' and my whole life turned right side up. He was everything I needed to make my life come together."

Always ready for a good time!
