Hi everyone. If you're reading this then you're probably aware that last year one of my closest friends died by suicide. I've had my fair share of trauma in the last couple of years, but losing your friend in this way is a completely different kettle of fish.
As clichéd as it sounds, Millie was the brightest light in every room. Warmth and kindness emanated from her and her joyful spirit was infectious to be around. Not only was she an incredibly talented designer and stylist, she was a champion ballroom and latin dancer taking any opportunity to fling you across the dance floor (and you would have the time of your life).
Millie visited Karur, India many times during her career to source fabric and gather inspiration for her designs. The foundation has been set up to help fund a new school in the town, where there will be a dedicated arts and crafts classroom for pupils to learn creative skills. The room has been built, but funding is still needed to equipment and supplies.
In August I'll be taking part in the Hertfordshire & Middlesex Triathlon to raise money for the school. Many of you will have donated to my last fundraiser but if you are able to spare a few quid this time I would so appreciate it. The thought of all you lovely people donating really does help get me over the finish line!
Many thanks in advance xx
