Hi, I am desperately trying to raise money to help our good friends caught in the middle of the attacks on Ukraine. They are a family of 3 (Alexey, Elena, and their teenage daughter, Sophy) + pets and are currently in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Since the attacks, they have been hiding in an underground shelter below their home (see pic below), and it is becoming increasingly unsafe to stay. Sunday, they found a driver who could transport them to the country's western border, but the cost is enormous...it will cost $10,000. Unfortunately, they could not pay that amount and have to stay in Kharkiv. Therefore, I am pleading with friends and family to please help in any way possible. Every dollar adds up and can help us get Elena, Sophy, and the pets to safety. Unfortunately, Alexey cannot leave...as all adult men have to stay behind.

I am collecting the money here and will transfer it to their account via SWIFT payment. I will update you with all receipts of transfers. Including my initial money transfer...not to show what I have done, but to show the urgency of my plea. The money I have sent them will help them with food for now, but we need to help them get to safety.
