I was born with severe hallux valgus (bunion), a foot joint deformity that's only worsened over time. I've tried to avoid surgery, but none of the non-invasive options have worked, the problem kept impacting my stability and mobility, and at this point, it's progressed to the point of chronic pain, walking or not. I was able to find a less invasive surgery with minimal recovery time (!!!), but the hospital costs are egregious (surprise surprise) and FAR exceed anything we expected.
