Hello I am Delvon Filer. I am college student at Santa Fe College in desperate need of help. Before I explain my situation let me tell you about myself. I'm pursuing multiple degrees at Santa fe college an A.S. in biotechnology and a B.A.S in clinical science. The sciences are one of my passions and I love learning everything about it ever since I was a kid and that's why I chose that's what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Unfortunately, that goal is currently in jepordy. In my spring semester I lost my father who was supporting me to multiple illnesses, and because I am my father's only child I was in charge of all his final arrangements and affairs; this would lead me to dropping all my classes for that semester due to me not being in the right state of mind to focus on classes. This would lead into the current problem I am facing. Because I did not complete 60% of last semester I am required to pay back the Pell grant I received in the spring. I was not informed of this until 5 weeks into my current summer semester and now all my summer aid is being seized to pay that back leaving me with nothing to support myself. I do work but due to a medica emergency, I needed surgery to remove my gallbladder and I missed a few weeks of work. I was relying on that aid to help pay my bills and other responsibilities for this month. I am incapable of doing that right now or getting an extension. I only need help for this month I return to work this week but because I'm returning in the middle of the pay period I am only to only have half of what I normally would. I will have a full paycheck at the end of the month but that would go towards next month's expenses. Furthermore my car needs work immediately to keep it running. My classes are specific to the Perry center in Alachua,Florida, there are no busses or shuttles to take me there so having a car is required for me to take my classes.

Before my father passed his last wish to me was to finish school and I am currently facing a situation where I won't be able to do that I won't be able to do that. I could use any help I could get. I promise that I will not take your kindness and generosity for granted and use the funds to help me through this rough patch.
