Andromeda and Katie Cohen Fund

Katie Cohen is a single mom trying to raise her one-year-old daughter Andromeda. Many of us know them, care about them, love them, and support them. We want them to flourish and do well, and we do what we can to help - with our time, our attention, and our encouragement.

All these things matter, but often money - the "unit of caring", as people say - matters more. This community has been excellent at rallying around causes - grand, global, far-reaching campaigns to save the world. Now we need to rally around a friend.

Andromeda's life is just beginning. Katie's life has many good, strong years ahead of it. But right now, they both need our help to see them through. In a community of such rich abundance, it seems tragic that such desperation and need can still be felt - especially by those so young. 

So, I'm creating this anonymous GoFundMe account. A few trusted people within the community have been chosen to know enough to verify that this is legitimate - every dollar raised will go to Katie and Andromeda.
