It is with a heavy heart that I must share that we found out this week that Diante’s cancer has relapsed. This coming March would have been his last need for lumbar punctures and chemo pills,and he would have been in full remission. As hard as this may be for all of us, especially diante, he has so much to fight for and even more to live for. His new found love of barbering ( he just got his barber license), building gazebos, and play sets, and even bathroom remodels. In the short period of his inner remission he had accomplished so much and kept that drive to really become an entrepreneur. While this is hopefully a minor set back we know god has great plans for him. Even though we don’t see the big picture I know there will be a great ending with rewards and blessings and life lessons that will only build character. Once again diante will be out of work and unfortunately without income as he battles this demon once again. Someone fighting for their life should never have to worry about how their bills are going to be paid, but unfortunately this is the world we live in today. You could work your whole life and in a flash everything be taken away and the government expects you to try and go years without income while trying to fill out paperwork to get any kind of assistance. On top of that being so Ill that you don’t have the energy or time to try and make appointments and gather documents. I’m begging that we come together as family, friends and community to help relieve some of this financial burden off Diante’s shoulders as he battles once again for his life. Anything helps, please lift up some prayers for my son and our family as no one should have to face cancer, especially not twice. Pray that God takes away the nausea, that he gives his body and mind strength, that we can also be strong and supportive, but most importantly that this new treatment kills this cancer for good. Hello to everyone, family friends and strangers. I’m Angelica nichols the proud mother of diante nichols. Most of you know my boys from school, football, wrestling and baseball. This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with or ask for help with. Saturday night diante went to urgent care due to chest pain. He was immediately told to go to the emergency room where they performed an ekg and catscan. A mass/tumor was found in front of his heart. This news has been extremely devastating to us as Diante is the glue that holds our family together. He has unconditional love for his siblings and is an easy person to confide in with great advice. Through this news he still remains positive saying everything happens for a reason and it will only make me a better person. He will have many upcoming oncologist and cardiologist appointments as we try to pinpoint the cause and figure out what the next steps are. Any donation to his medical and bill expenses would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate prayers or words of encouragement are also needed. We appreciate each and everyone of you .
