Help Sick Cats at the SPCA
Help an 8-year-old's Christmas fundraiser for sick cats.
Sophie Lin, a resident of Vacaville, California, has taken it upon herself to start a fundraiser for sick cats.
Sophie's Sunday school teacher at San Francisco Zion Church, Joselin Hernandez, asked the students to think of ways to "give back" to those they are thankful for this Christmas. "I'm thankful for cats," Sophie said, and that's how it started.
With the help of her teacher, Sophie has started a gofundme to help sick cats. Sophie is allergic to cats and can't have one of her own, but she has a big love for them and wants to help those that are waiting to find their forever home.
All proceeds will go to help sick cats at the SF SPCA.
The San Francisco SPCA was founded in 1868 to prevent abuse to animals and help support animal health across the greater San Francisco Region. It has become one of San Francisco's most enduring and respected institutions.
For this reason, we chose the SF SPCA as the recipient of our fundraiser. As a nonprofit, they provide veterinary services to pets inside and outside of their shelter. They support the health of not only cats, but dogs and many other animals.Sophie likes dogs too!
