A Loss Of Roses
Donation protected
We are doing the play A Loss Of Roses -a play written in the 1950’s, set in the Depression era of the 1930’s, with the sensibility of empowerment and survival of today’s world. William Inge had many successful plays. This wasn’t one of them. When it flopped, he went back and saw where he went wrong in the story. He REWROTE the play before it went into official publication. This, is what he meant to put up. This, is what we are going to present. These characters are timeless, their struggles are our struggles. Each member of the cast has found a deep profundity with their character. Inge was truly a master in the creation of his characters ‘ fragility, and yet an insatiable drive to push forward at all costs for personal freedom. We are so excited to share this masterpiece classic of yesterday, as it was meant to be delivered. Please help us make this dream a reality.
Our current goal is $15,000. We have secured a deposit on the theatre thanks to some generous donations. But we have a long way to go. The cost of the rest of the theatre, set, props, lighting! The list goes on! Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting the arts and that old relic called The Theatre. ❤️
