After several trips to the doctor for continuous coughing and chest pains an x-ray was ordered for dad on April 6th 2022. Results showed a large mass on his right lung. He was referred to a pulmonologist in Evansville and from there a PET Scan and a biopsy was ordered which confirmed our worst fears.. our dad has lung cancer and it has already spread so surgery isn't an option His first appointment with Dr. Ziegler was last week and she has decided to start him on chemo. We had his class yesterday and his first treatment will be next week Wednesday. During this time he has been put on several medications that are quite costly, we all know how bad gas prices are, mom is taking several unpaid days from work, and he recently borrowed a walker to try that helped with his leg pain tremendously. We would love to help them with all of these costs! Mom is also in need of back tires on her car very soon. She had the money for them but last week after his appointment she was in Princeton getting his meds and hit a curb.. her right front tire popped. Now she has new front tires but is still needing the back ones. At first when I mentioned a GoFundMe they said no but yesterday afternoon mom found out her company is doing permanent layoffs at the end of July. The company has been sold so as most of you know she may not have a job by July or tomorrow for that matter. My daddy has always helped people with whatever they may need, it's our turn to help him ❤
