On Friday, January 16, 2026, John suffered a sudden seizure that led to serious injuries, including a fractured arm and a dislocated jaw. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in Astoria, placed in critical care, and later transferred to the ICU, where he remained in an induced coma for several days.

John woke up on January 20, 2026 at 2:37 AM, and while we are incredibly grateful for this milestone, we are still searching for answers as the cause of the seizure remains unknown.

Prior to this emergency, John did not have health insurance. We were able to apply for Medicaid, but it will only cover part of his medical expenses. Due to his injuries, John is also unable to work for the next 4–6 weeks.
