June and Alex Frew

June and Alex Frew are an extraordinary couple whose lives were devastated
by the summer bushfires. These wonderful Australians need our help.

For 20 years Lex Frew served as Captain of the Manyana Volunteer Rural Fire
Brigade on the south coast of NSW.

June Frew has been a wildlife rescuer and carer for 30 years.

Together Lex and June ran a wildlife refuge in the Conjola National Park
looking after injured and orphaned animals.

June and Lex were seriously burned on New Year's Eve when the Currowan
Mega-Fire overwhelmed them on open ground trying to protect their animals.

When the fire-ball hit, June tripped and Lex went back for her. After a
daring rescue by Rural Fire Service volunteers, they miraculously survived -
but badly injured.

After months in hospital enduring great suffering, they are now back home,
looking after each other and the animals that survived.

They need continuing care, help with the sanctuary and house
alterations.

These fine Australians are the salt of the earth… community heroes.

Please - put your hand in your pocket and help June and Lex Frew.
