Cents for Sofia

My name is Josephine Patina and I am the mother of Sofia. On Friday October 2nd Sofia was in a serious car accident that has left her in the intensive care unit at Arnold Palmer Trauma Center for Pediatrics in Orlando Florida. Sofia was admitted with bleeding and swelling in the brain. She also sustained a fractured shoulder and pelvic bone. She received stitches behind her ear and face with also cuts and bruises all over her body. Sofia is in an induced coma, ventilator and feeding tube. Her recovery process is going to be a long journey with possible OT, PT, and speech therapy. Her father and I are both out of work and have many bills piling up. Over the next few months we are not only anticipating Sofia coming back home but we are also anticipating added expenses of occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy just to name a few. Any money that is received will go straight to medical bills and Sofia’s necessary care as we navigate through these new and uncharted waters.
