Help Danielle battle breast cancer

Donation protected
As some of you may already know, in early May, Benny head butted Danielle in the breast and she happened to find a lump. By early June, she had to hear the dreaded words no one ever wants to hear… “You have cancer.” She has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma aka breast cancer. As you can imagine, this has been a stressful situation with many tearful phone calls and sleepless nights, all while being expected to continue to work and raise two littles. The last few months have been a barrage of tests, consultations and battles with health insurance providers. Fortunately, Danielle’s treatment plan has mostly solidified.

She will need to start by undergoing surgery to remove the cancer (August 1st), perform double mastectomies (August 30th) and than undergo breast reconstruction (August 30th + several follow up surgeries TBD). It is not clear yet if she will need radiation or chemotherapy as this will be determined after a thorough pathology and analysis by her oncologist post surgery. It’s going to be a long road for the Bradley family and we want to help them get through this.

Danielle will be unable to work for 10-12 weeks while she recovers and will be under strict lifting restrictions, Madi and Benny don’t make the cut :(. Family will be flying out to help with the kids and friends have graciously organized a meal train to help with keeping the family fed.

Fortunately many of the preliminary costs will be covered by the Bradley’s insurance with the exception of the reconstruction which will be out of network. The bad news is plastic micro surgeons in Los Angeles are not cheap.

The Bradleys are incredibly humbled by the outpouring of love they have received so far and are so grateful that their east and west coast villages are coming together and offering to help in their time of need. We all know Dani is a bad ass and she is going to fight like hell to get through this!!

Background on Danielle:
During the week she is devoting her time to fighting infections at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance. She has been a healthcare provider there for over six years as a Physical Therapist. She is now working with a team to help keep patients safe during this never ending pandemic as an Infection Preventionist. Prior to this, Danielle was your local neighborhood bartender slinging drinks at Barnacles and keeping everyone from going thirsty. She now spends her evenings and weekends raising two super cute humans, Madi (4) and Benny (2), with her husband Lukas. They love crafts and games and Benny is obsessing over trucks and Madi asks daily for a pet horse.

Danielle has always been there for her friends and family and puts others needs above her own. With your help, we can get Danielle through this challenging time so she can enjoy spending quality time with her kiddos —as quickly as possible and without the anxiety caused by the financial burden of a large medical debt. Thank you so much for reading this far and considering donating to this campaign. Any donated amount is sincerely and deeply appreciated.

Big shout out to Benny for head butting his mama and potentially saving her life! That’ll be a good story to share with him for many years to come. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women these days, even more rare in those under 40, but it CAN and DOES happen so please please check your tatas regularly!!
