Hello everybody,
Zsolt Bognár here, pianist and host of Living the Classical Life. Distinguished and beloved German pianist and conductor Lars Vogt passed away September 5, 2022 after a fight with cancer. He leaves behind a wife and three daughters. I decided to create a fund to donate in the memory of Lars—this was my idea to help and not requested by the family; the family is overwhelmed by the generosity of everybody. I will personally ensure that every last dollar/euro goes to the family. Thank you for considering and for your generosity.

Just over a month ago the show and I visited him at home for what turned out to be his final interview. It is a moving message of hope and a portrait of a truly beautiful human being.
