Perhaps you remember Lance Norris from movies like Don’t Look Up, CODA, The Judge and many others. Or from TV’s Politically Incorrect, Castle Rock, SMILF or others. Maybe you remember his writing from National Lampoon Magazine, Entertainment Weekly or the over 30 books he published. Maybe, if you lived near Boston, you woke up with him on WBCN or WZLX. Maybe you stopped by his short-lived comedy club, The Bitter Man. Maybe you saw his band,, The Stools, at The Boston Garden, The Paradise, Great Woods, or one of the thousand dive bars they played at.

Whatever your connection to Lance Norris is, this father of 6 was just informed he got Cancer for Christmas (as Michael O’Donoghue once sang), and he’s really hoping not to straddle his kids with crushing debt from his medical bills.

The price tag for four simple chemo sessions can run as high as $250,000, so we’re making that number our goal. While Lance plans to vigorously battle all of his body’s attempts to kill him, he will also be using the time he has left to finish a few of his projects and sell off the options on a number of screenplays to try to secure his family’s financial future.
