Donation protected

For those who may not know, our family experienced a tragedy in early February. While supposed to be resting and watching his favorite show, Declan, who is two and a half years old, snuck out of the house and fell into the pool. Only several minutes passed between his mom finding him and performing CPR with the help our family handyman, Roy, who was working at the house. Unfortunately, in this short period of time, Declan’s heart stopped beating. Paramedics arrived and continued performing CPR until arrival to the hospital. The staff at Eisenhower Medical Center acted immediately and were able to revive Declan and restart his heart enough to support his emergency helicopter transport to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital where he was later put into a medically induced coma while physicians and staff performed all necessary tests. Our family was told that he had a 10% chance of survival. After several weeks of treatment, medications, procedures and so much more, Declan has proved to be a powerful force in this life. It is with great joy that we announce Declan has been discharged from the hospital.
We write this message to share just a snip-it of our family’s miracle. Because of unending prayers and services provided by Declan’s medical team, he is alive. With this message, we ask for help.
Declan may be out of the hospital, but he will continue to undergo treatment to improve his quality of life. Much of his care will be non-traditional not covered by insurance. Our family would like to raise money so that Declan’s parents will be able to afford the best care that can be provide and give Declan that best change for recovery. A donation of any kind is greatly appreciated, and we ask for your continued prayers and support.
