It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the unexpected passing of my best friend, Angela Louise Walker.
My childhood friend of 23 years.
She passed away suddenly on Monday, April 1st. Her husband, Casey Walker, had been caring for her from what appeared to be just a regular stomach bug, when suddenly and very unexpectedly her health took a turn for the worse, and she was rushed to the hospital. Her heart gave out. Her pastor and parents were able to arrive to provide comfort as the family joined each other that night in-person and virtually for one final prayer over Angela.
Heartbreak, confusion, and grief surround so many of us right now as we try to come to terms with this new reality.
We have so many questions. Like how could this happen to someone so young, healthy, so full of life; to someone with a smile and laugh that could fill a room? She was literally gone in the blink of an eye.
For anyone blessed to have known and loved Angela, you knew how big her heart was, how much she did for everyone around her, often forgetting to apply that energy to herself. I sit here in my grief, surrounded by her husband, kids, family, and friends, all of us grieving this loss. Their world is crumbled, their hearts shattered on the floor. Only time will allow us to put those pieces back together, but our hearts will never look the same.
The amount of support and encouragement during this time has been astounding. The outpouring of love for Angela and her family is beyond appreciated and needed now more than ever. If you would like to show your support to Casey, Colt, and Emma please allow this to be your opportunity. The costs are unforeseen now, as there are so many unknowns. Any donation is appreciated as Casey and his family navigate these difficult times. If you prefer to support in a different way, please reach out to me. We understand that people have their own way of supporting and may choose to do so in another manner.
There are still so many questions on everyone’s mind, as I’m sure there will be for anyone who knew her and is grieving with us, here and around the country. Angela’s family will not have any answers as to the cause of death for 2-3 months for results of an autopsy, so please respect their space and privacy during this time.
*****A memorial service will be planned for Angela May 25th, 2024, in Roseburg, OR, on approximately what would have been her 34th birthday. Details of the service will be shared at a later time to allow Casey and her family to plan.
