Hi, I'm Lynn Morrison, and I'm the President and founder of Action 4 Animals Hawaii. In the last 2 years, we have saved 283 dogs from Hawaii County Animal Control, a high-kill shelter, and placed them in homes. For those dogs that cannot get adopted on-island, we fly them out to our rescue partners on the West Coast and Eastern Canada where they get adopted within weeks, and even days!!

Since April 2025, we have flown out 51 dogs all of whom are in loving homes. In 2024, we flew out 36 dogs and puppies to the West Coast and Eastern Canada. Each of these dogs that would have been euthanized as part of the almost 2,000 dogs killed on our island yearly, if A4A had not stepped in, worked with compassionate staff at Animal Control, and given them a chance.

We have an extremely busy Fall with 17 dogs flying out to our West Coast Partners that include Street Dog Hero, Newberg Animal Shelter, Oregon Dog Rescue, and Paws.org! Each dog costs about $400 to fly out. The cost includes the health certificate, airfare, occasional boarding en route, land transport, leashes, bowls, crate returns, and occasional purchase of new crates. We need about $6800!! We have a very generous donor who will match funds up to $3,400!!

After that, we have Maui, Luna, Mojo, and Snowball. Follow us on social media - we document all of our fly-outs!! Please support these dogs and donate whatever you can!! $10 gets matched and becomes $20 - that's a couple of bowls or a couple of leashes. Donate $100 and voila - we have $200!! That's one dog's airfare...almost!!
