Caring for Casey Carter

On June 4th Casey suffered a brain hemorrhage. He was traveling near Sacramento and was brought to the Sacramento Medical Center (Kaiser).

He is in the Neuro Surgical ICU. He has tubes in his brain to drain the blood and we have been told they expect he will stay in ICU in Sacramento for at least three weeks.

Everyone is cautiously optimistic about his prognosis which will be a little uncertain for the next two weeks. He can move and talk but activity is restricted. He is improving but remains a little confused and the doctors recommend very limited visitation.

Rachel has created a "Caring for Casey" group on Facebook where she provides updates on Casey's progress. We will continue to post updates on here as well.

We have created this site to support Rachel and Casey with the expenses to come as he travels down the road to recovery. This includes medical expenses, travel to and from Sacramento, accommodations, etc.

Every little bit helps! Thank you everyone! And let's keep the prayers coming for Casey and this sweet family!
