Running for Families: A Chair Bed for Ward A4

Hi, I'm Shannon. On February 2, 2025, Edward Clive Wilks always known as Clive passed away at The Grange Hospital surrounded by family. He spent his last few weeks on ward A4, where the staff were incredibly supportive, allowing us precious family time.

Thanks to their kindness, Lorna his daughter was able to stay at her dad’s bedside, thanks to a family chair/bed. Unfortunately, A4 didn’t have one available however, another ward lent one, but without it, Lorna would have had to travel back and forth the hospital every day. For this we are extremely grateful.

On April 27, 2025, I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon to support this ward. I’d like to raise funds to provide a new family chair/bed for the ward to help others in similar situations.

These chairs/beds aren’t cheap therefore, any donation is greatly appreciated.
