Hi, my name is Nathan Chao, I'm currently a snare drummer in the Blue Devils Drumline. The Blue Devils are a traveling Drum Corps that tours the whole US for three months of summer. We perform at 30+ shows, rehearse 12 hours a day, and sleep out of busses, gym floors, and rented our dorms. As grueling as all this sounds, being part of the Blue Devils has been a dream of mine since middle school when I first pursued music in school.

Last year I had the unique opportunity to learn from the best educators in the world and perform in front of crowds of tens of thousands doing something I love and being part of the Blue Devils. However, I was recently injured in a car accident and the road to recovery has proved costly. In addition, last years non-fee costs including travelling to Spring Training (CA -> Wyoming), everyday amenities, and medical supplies, proved much larger than anticipated, and this activity is only getting more expensive.

I am asking for your support to help me continue to fulfill what has been a lifelong dream and perform with a group that I am honored and humbled to be a part of. While the goal of raising the full amount on this GoFundMe is quite large, know that even a small contribution can help alleviate the costs of doing what is both the most important and most passionate activity I have ever been part of.
