We Believe in Ryan Weeks

Hello, my name is Jenn Bachman. Let me tell you a little story about my wonderful big sister Amanda, her husband Garrett, and their son's Ryan and Jaxson.
Amanda and Garrett are great fun loving people. So it was no surprise when they found each other and fell in love. In later 2009 we got the exciting news that they were expecting! Then in June 2010, my sweet nephew Ryan Jonathan Weeks was born. He was a happy, healthy, and cuddly baby. And I'll be damned if he wasn't the spitting image of Garrett. I loved travelling down to Florida from Tennessee to see him and the rest of my family. I was always up for babysitting, however long they needed me. Ryan loved Thomas the Tank Engine, boats, the beach, and construction equipment.
Then in 2012 the unexpected happened. I was taking a break between classes at ETSU and got a call from my sister telling me that my nephew had fallen into a pool and nearly drowned. My mother, her partner, my boyfriend, and I rushed down to Florida to be with family and hope for the best. And like the fighter that he is, strong and courageous, Ryan pulled through. He stayed with us, but was in a persistent vegiative state.
Through the years Amanda and Garrett, with the help of a beavy of fantastic nurses, family, and friends, took great care of Ryan. He was comfortable, loved, and as happy as could be. His bedroom was custom made with all of the amenities that he could ever need.
Then in early 2014 Amanda and Garrett gave us some great news. They were expecting yet again. In October of 2014 Jaxson Anthony Weeks was born. He, just like Ryan was just the happiest baby. He's always smiling and having fun. Jaxson loved his big brother. There are so many pictures of the two cuddling and snuggling.
Now fast forward to Monday 2/22. Ryan was taken to the hospital because he was bleeding in his stomach. The hospital said that he had a bad infection, was going into sepsis shock and his body was shutting down. Once again we rushed down to Florida and spent a very long day at Palms West hospital. We cannot say enough about the doctors, nurses, and hospice staff there. They made a long day much better.
Ryan passed at 11:15 PM in 2/24/16. He has received his wings and is in Heaven now running, playing, and being tired in by several family members who were awaiting his arrival.
The purpose of this Go Find Me is to help Amanda and Garrett with funeral expenses and medical bills. Any and every small donation will mean the world to this family and we cannot express our gratitude and love for everyone. Thank you.
