My name is Maria Alexander and my dear friend Lisa Love passed away early on Saturday, November 15th. We talked everyday and became so close we were like sisters over the last 20 years. If we were having a bad day we would call each other and be laughing by the end of our conversation and not remember why we were upset. I will miss her intelligence, humor, and compassion for all animals. We always said we would end up in rocking chairs at the old folks home saying f-you to each other. She would drive me crazy sometimes but that’s just how sisters are. I hurt and the person I would reach out to for comfort is the one who is gone. Cancer has yet again taken another beautiful soul. Be kind to each other and live each day to the fullest and most importantly f&@k cancer. (Lisa wanted me to say that).

In light of Lisa's passing, her wishes were for me to take care of her horses, Norman and Woody (Pony). Anyone who knew Lisa knows how much Norman and Pony meant to her. Any support with the care and upkeep of these animals would mean so much to her.

In leu of flowers, the family has asked that those who wish to honor Lisa consider contributing to the funds required to continue the care that Norman and Pony need. The expense to be able to support Norman & Pony long-term is significant. Our fundraising goal of $34,800 would provide Norman & Pony a full year of care. Any contributions will be hugely appreciated.
