Hello!

As many of you know, my Mom passed away on November 10th. My Mother never expected to leave this world any time soon. Unfortunately, it was out of her control. If you knew my Mom, you knew how much she adored her horse Chippy. Since her passing took us all by surprise we were not prepared. Her dying wish was that he would be cared for. I will be working on a long term plan over the next few months for his care. Any donations will help to get us by until we can figure out what to do.

Checks were written for the charges Chippy incurred in Oct/Nov and for his long term care (when my Mom realized she was not going to recover) while my Mom was in the hospital. Upon her death, her husband immediately closed the account (which was used for the care of Chippy), withdrew the money and the checks did not have time to clear. He is refusing to honor the checks that were written while she was alive. These costs include October and November boarding (Scotts Valley Equestrian), Vet bills (Adobe Equine) and farrier costs for the new "shoes" that were put on him in October.

My Mom would be embarrassed by this. I am just trying to do all that I can to honor her memory and take care of Chippy.
