It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Tana Marie Pearson, age 53, of Monticello, Indiana, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at 9:46 AM at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Tana’s departure leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Born in Monticello, Indiana, on July 13, 1971, Tana was the beloved daughter of Robert Mull and Pamela Scriven. She attended Frontier High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and began to develop the kindness, compassion, and strength that would define her character.
Tana was united in marriage to Randy J. Pearson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Tana’s love and devotion to Randy was a beautiful reflection of her nurturing and caring spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 18, 2018.
Tana will be remembered for her incredible warmth, generosity, infectious laughter, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. She had an extraordinary ability to make those around her feel loved and appreciated. Tana found joy in watching her son race go-karts, singing duets with her sister, dancing with her daughters, and playing video games with her children. A talented cook, she poured love into every meal, bringing her family together and creating lasting memories.
Her selflessness extended beyond her immediate family as she lovingly adopted two of her grandchildren, raising them from birth. Her boundless love for family and friends left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Tana’s legacy will live on through her beautiful children and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. Tana’s spirit will never be forgotten.
Tana is survived by her parents, Robert Mull and Pamela Scriven; her sisters, Sheri Mull, Bobbi Jean Mull, and Kendra Hughes; her children, Cody Bush, Randee Balser, Stevee Pearson, Rilan Thomas, and Josiah Pearson; many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Harness; her beloved grandmother, Mary Cantoni; grandfather, Henry Scriven; grandmother, Iva Taylor; and grandfather, Charles Taylor.
A Celebration of Life ceremony to honor Tana’s memory will be held on Monday, December 16th, at Hartzler Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston, Indiana, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The family invites all who knew and loved Tana to join them in this time of remembrance and reflection.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations. Your generous contributions will assist her daughter, Stevee Pearson, in fulfilling her mother’s final wish: to continue raising Tana’s adopted grandchildren, Rilan Thomas (age 8) and Josiah Pearson (age 5), and to provide them with a loving, nurturing environment in which they can thrive.
Tana Marie Pearson will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
