Help the Nest Thrive

Donation protected
As you may know I run the Dayton Gamers Guild Lending Library out of a store called the Raven's Nest Games and More (6185 Brandt Pike Huber Heights OH).   Our library helped kids, parents, and teachers in our community, and we were doing a great job.  We were just set to open a makerspace and add in 3D printing along with our current options.

Today we learned that the Nest will be closing at the end of the month due to an investor no longer helping the shop.  With all of the additions and work put in, the Nest was just on the verge of profiting and being stable, and this is a huge blow to our community.   The Nest has been a second home, and it was the encouragement of its owners that helped foster our library from 12 books to over 400 titles, minis, terrain, and gaming equipment.

We want to save the place, one way or another. And it's for that reason I'm throwing this campaign.  Many of you know us from Imgur and Reddit. Many are local to the shop.  We want to save this place and make it remain a place for the misfits, the geeks, the nerds who need to have a home.   The funds will be used to keep the lights on, the rent paid, and to get needed merchandise to help the store continue thriving.

If you can contribute I would mightily appreciate it. We're doing all we can to make this happen, and every step of the way we hope you can stand by us.

Now, to Satisfy GoFundMe's legal team:

1.) Who Am I?

I'm Anthony Tracey, Head Librarian of the Dayton Gamers Guild Lending Library.  I have no business interest with the Nest, but have known the proprietors since I moved from Columbus, OH to Dayton, OH months ago.

2.) Where am I From?

I'm a Ohio native, living in Dayton by way of Columbus.  I'm new to the Gem City, but have made the Nest my home.

3.) My relationship to the beneficiary of this fundraising effort?

They are friends and the owners of the shop I frequent known as the Raven's Nest Games and More in Huber Heights, OH.

4.) How Will the Funds Be Used?

The funds are being used by the Raven's Nest staff to cover the shortfall that occurred when their investor fell out of the shop.  While I am not, as said, with the Nest on business, it appears they will be using the money to cover rent and utilities.  After those are set they will use the remainder to perform needed repairs and updates of rooms, fixtures/furnishings, maintenance projects, painting/cleaning/lighting and opening of their restaurant's dining room, and replenishing merchandise that has been lost

5.) If I Withdraw, How Will the Money Get to the Parties Involved?

I'll be personally presenting the money to the Nest's owners if we need withdraw, from my accounts to their business account, to be put forward and used as soon as possible.

I hope I have shown the legal team their necessary information.

Again, I wish everyone a safe and wonderful day, and will update soon!

Dovie'andi se tovya sagain,

Anthony Tracey, Head Librarian of the Dayton Gamers Guild.
