My name is Tawi, and I’m reaching out for help during a really difficult time. Recently, my mom was laid off from her job, which has put a lot of financial pressure on our household. On top of that, the commission I completed in December that was meant to pay my rent for the next three months, has informed me that they won’t pay me until March, leaving me without the income I was counting on to cover my basic needs. To make matters even more challenging, I also lost my insurance, which has made it even harder to afford the medication I need to function day-to-day. Including medication that reduces the chronic pain I have from degenerative disc disease and Elhers Danlos, as well medications for my mental health that I need to function. I also struggle with mental and physical disabilities that make it hard for me to leave the house, which adds to the challenges I’m facing right now.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward covering my rent and the medication that is essential for my health and well-being. Your support will help me keep a roof over my head and ensure I can continue to take the medication I need until my commission payment arrives and things stabilize. Every little bit truly makes a difference, and I am so grateful for any help you can offer.
