Hi, I’m Jeff….never thought I’d be the person on this side of the coin asking for help but here we are in August I received scary news… news no one wants to receive that I had stage 3 colon cancer!!! I was in complete disbelief, I’m 34 years old how can this even happen to me I’m way to young for this, anyway after a seven day hospital stay to find that shocking information out treatment needed to begin immediately. Treatment has been 12 rounds of chemo to shrink the tumor which is also involved with the bladder and a surgery to remove said tumor. The treatment has been way more brutal than I thought, was thinking I’d be able to work through it and be fine, but boy was I wrong I’ve had more bad days than good at this point missing more work than I care to even count. I’m lucky to work for a place that is very understanding and has worked with me every step of the way since this all began in August. As you can imagine not being able to work has taken its toll on me financially as well as emotionally, so here I am about as vulnerable as I’ve ever been asking my friends and family for help… never having too ask before makes this such a big ask for me, but I appreciate everyone who’s has been going through this journey with me hopefully I’ll be on the other side of it soon… thanks Jeff
