Hoy nos unimos como familia y amigos para pedir su apoyo por nuestra querida Alexandra Calix, una joven de 29 años llena de luz, fortaleza y amor, quien recientemente fue diagnosticada con cáncer de tiroides.

Esta noticia ha sido un golpe muy duro para todos nosotros. Los médicos han indicado que Alexandra necesita una tiroidectomía urgente (cirugía para remover total la glándula tiroides y evitar que el cáncer continúe creciendo o se propague). Después de la cirugía, deberá continuar con tratamiento con yodo radioactivo, además de medicamentos, exámenes y cuidados médicos antes, durante y después de todo el proceso.

Los costos médicos son elevados y se acumulan rápidamente entre la cirugía, hospitalización, estudios, medicamentos y tratamientos posteriores. Por esta razón, hemos creado este GoFundMe con la esperanza de poder ayudar a cubrir estos gastos médicos esenciales y permitir que Alexandra reciba la atención que necesita de manera urgente y oportuna.

Alexandra está enfrentando este momento con mucha fe, valentía y esperanza. Hoy, como familia y amigos, queremos rodearla de amor y pedir humildemente su apoyo. Today, we come together as family and friends to ask for your support for our beloved Alexandra Calix, a 29-year-old young woman full of light, strength, and love, who was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

This news has been incredibly difficult for all of us. Alexandra’s doctors have explained that she urgently needs a thyroidectomy (a surgery to completely remove the thyroid gland in order to prevent the cancer from continuing to grow or spreading). After surgery, she will also need radioactive iodine treatment, along with medications, medical exams, and ongoing care before, during, and after the entire process.

The medical costs are very high and quickly add up between surgery, hospitalization, tests, medications, and post-operative treatment. For this reason, we have created this GoFundMe to help cover these essential medical expenses and ensure that Alexandra can receive the care she needs as soon as possible.
