Help Richard Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Richard was first diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at the age of 3. After almost 2 years of fighting, he responded to the treatments and was in remission.
In November 2022, after 8 years in remission, he was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma for the second time at the age of 13. It is rare for this cancer to return after more than 5 years in remission, and because of that, it was missed by doctors on several previous visits.
After 6 months of intense and emotionally draining treatments, Richard was declared cancer free for a second time. We were on cloud 9 and so ecstatic that he beat cancer not once but twice! Richard is definitely a fighter! But, unfortunately that’s not where his story stops.
Exactly one year to the day from his second diagnosis, Richard was faced with neuroblastoma for a third time on November 9th 2023.
He went through 6 more months of treatments and was in remission for about 5 months and relapsed for a fourth time in September of 2024.
This has been such an emotional roller coaster for not only Richard but for us as parents and also for his three sisters. It has taken a huge toll on finances and work. There is nothing worse than not being able to provide or not be able to spend as much time as you can with family due to the uncertain future.
At this time any donations are greatly appreciated and will help our family cover the costs of his ongoing care, treatments and medicines that are not covered by insurance, and to provide our family with security during this time.
