A Young Writer Pay Off Hospital Fees & Rent

Hello friends! My name is Luciano and in the wake of a series of events that have been occurring since December of 2022 I find myself starting a small GoFundMe in order to pay off both part of a hospital bill and also my half of the rent.

Here is a tl;dr for anyone who wants the short and sweet of this: I am in need of help paying off hospital costs coupled with rent. My work is irregular at best, and the hospital bill I need to pay off isn't life-altering but it is significant given that I live paycheck to paycheck. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I am a professional ghost writer living in Greensboro, North Carolina. In December of 2022 I went to the hospital to address a chronic but minor health issue that had been a part of my life since September but was getting worse. I was able to discover that the health issue was quite easily treatable with medication but that I had misunderstood the cause of it. That was the good news. The bad news was that as an American at an American hospital I was soon subjected to a hefty hospital bill. The total on that bill was right around $770.00 dollars. I have since paid off about a fifth of that.

As a writer my opportunities to work are inconsistent at best and my pay is equally irregular. I am currently working on transitioning to more regular work, as the health condition I was dealing with has been quite receptive to the medication I was given as well as the recommended plan of treatment I was given. I have diligently tended to my health and I am incredibly excited to be much, much better even if I am still dealing with some of the long term effects of what was going on. Nevertheless, while with help from family and friends as well as the work I have had the opportunity to do and get paid for, I have managed to avoid seriously needing crowdfunding, I no longer think that that is something I can avoid any longer as I have not had as much work in February as I had in January.

So I am creating this GoFundMe, primarily to help cover my more immediate expenses. That said, if I manage to exceed my goals I may adjust them to help cover more of what I know I will need to pay off in the months to come. To give myself some breathing room. Any and all money given here will go towards living expenses and healthcare costs. Thank you so much for any and all aid provided!
