A Young Woman’s Fight to Care for Her Siblings in Gaza

Hello, my name is Richard. I am collecting donations for my friend's family from Gaza. These are their details and their story...

My name is Sondos, and I am 22 years old. I live in Gaza with my parents, my four sisters and three brothers, the youngest is just nine years old.

Before the war, I had dreams like any other girl my age. I was studying hard to become a medical analysis specialist. I wanted to help my community, to contribute to saving lives in a place where every life is so fragile. But the war has stolen that dream from me, at least for now. My university was bombed. My future put on hold.

My father is a paramedic. Every day, he risks his life, pulling people from under the rubble, trying to save others even as we ourselves go without. He comes home exhausted, his clothes covered in dust and blood, but he never complains. He is our hero. But heroes need help too.

We are struggling. With the blockade, food is scarce and expensive, and every day is a battle, not just to survive the war, but to survive hunger, cold, and hopelessness. I try to stay strong for my siblings, but some days I don’t know how we’ll get through the next.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Your donation can make a real difference for me and my family. It can help us buy food, medicine, clothes, and support my siblings, especially the younger ones, who still dream like I once did. And maybe, just maybe, it can help me return to my studies one day.

Please, if you can, stand with me and my family in this dark time. Every little bit brings hope.

With all my heart,
Sondos
