A year of hormones for my friend in need

Hello,

I want to give my friend a very special Christmas Gift. They are a low income, black, trans person living in Texas. They are struggling to put food on their table right now, and are scared and hurt by the recent election results. You can imagine how scary it would be to live and work in Texas as a black, trans person.

They have had to make the decision to prioritise food and rent over hormone therapy. As you can imagine, suddenly stopping hormones can severely negatively impact someone’s mental wellbeing.

My friend can already feel their voice changing, and they love to sing and have a voice that would rival queen Mariah herself.

I don’t want to lose another friend to depression this year.

I have calculated how much 12 months of hormones would cost, and as you know, my birthday and Christmas is coming up - so if you were going to buy me a bottle of wine or a little gift, I would much rather you give that $10-20 to this cause.
