A Year In Togo, West Africa

Hello,  My name is Matthew Wilkerson. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, who would like to present you with my mission to Togo. God has used many people's gracious generosity to provide for my needs on past trips to Africa, and for that, I am ever thankful. On my previous trips, I was able to see God do some amazing things! I saw a people hungry to know more about the God of the universe, and I have been overjoyed to introduce Him to them. My heart has been touched to return to the people of Togo, West Africa, but for a year this time. The money that I am trying to raise will be going toward things such as housing, food, and other necessities while I go about ministering to the people of Togo. I have worked for a year in the ministry of the Galilean Baptist Church, Cedar Hill, TX,  and have saved some money for my initial expenses and made a step of faith for the rest of the support that I will need. A church will be started as a result of the effort over this year; as for the future, only God knows the abundance of His blessings that He has prepared. The support I receive from this endeavor will be a two-fold encouragement to me. First, I know that my God, the One that is the Creator of heaven and earth, is a loving God who has made it a promise to bless all those with a giving spirit. No one who gives from a cheerful heart to God and to those that He loves does so without His notice. He sees. Second, it will enable me to give my time, energy, love, and attention to God and His work in Togo. With this eternal investment, I receive the opportunity to give back to my God for what He has done for me. Your gifts help me be able to give. I am trying to raise support for an entire year of living; so, it is a larger sum than most trips, but every little bit helps!
