Help Support my Year in Mission & Service!

Hi, most of you will know me already, but my name's Lashae, an aspiring missionary looking to delve deeper into the world of mission & service.

Some of you may know that last year August 2023, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the NEC Youth Thailand Mission Trip. This experience revealed to me the world of missionary, and how God can use us to change the lives of other people.

Ever had that nagging feeling that something isn't right? Or that you're not doing everything your being called to do?

My newfound passion for ministry and mission has been an incessance since I returned back from the trip. No matter how hard I tried to settle back into the rhythm of my normal life, it was as if someone was saying to me "you've seen that people need help, you can do more."

After continuingly trying (and failing) to push this voice to the side, I decided to take action. A change needed to happen!

Researching a couple of ways I could enter into the missionary field, I applied to a course offered by Newbold College for A Year in Mission & Service, and by God's grace I got accepted into the course.

In August, I will be leaving my full time job to begin pursuing a future in the missionary field. During the course, we have the opportunity to spend 3 months abroad (or longer) to serve in the country of our choosing. It's a big leap of faith, and I am leaning and trusting in God to lead the way.

This fundraiser is to help support the cost of living expenses during my time on campus and missionary abroad. I want to be able to serve the Lord in all the ways I can.

I will be running a 5k run to support my fundraising!

2 Corinthians 9:12-14

(12) This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

(13) Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.

(14) And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
